HUGHTON HUNTS AN EXTRA SOLUTION

- By Jack Roberts

BRIGHTON & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton believes his side must find different ways to win if they’re to be successful this season in the Championship.

The Seagulls are flying high in the league and sat second ahead of this weekend’s games, following a 3-2 away victory at Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.

The midweek triumph was their 15th league game without a defeat dating back to a 2-0 reverse against Brentford as they kept the pressure on Newcastle United at the top of the table.

And with plenty of strong clubs up and down the Championship, Hughton wants his side to remain flexible to combat whichever opponents they come up against.

“Ultimately it’s about finding the best way to get a win,” he said.

“One thing about this division is you’ve got to try and have a little bit of everything, which certainly means having the ability to go away from home and cope with the elements.

“You have to be ready for the type of team you’re going to be up against it, whether it’s a directness in their play or the quality of their physicality, it’s about having enough in our team to match those things.”
