LAMBERT DEFLECTS PLAUDITS

-

PAUL LAMBERT is no stranger to blooding young players, and the Wolves boss has heaped praise on his backroom staff for making it possible.

The 47-year-old has only been in charge since November, but has already been suitably impressed to give starts to goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne, 20, and 18-year-old midfielder Connor Ronan.

“This group of young players is as good as anything I have seen for a long time,” says Lambert.

“Whoever saw the kids play in the first place deserves credit. All I’ve done is enhanced the feeling of ‘if you’re good enough, you’re old enough’.”
