IT MAY BE NEARLY ALLROVER FOR MARV SKY BLUES BAG FOLEY

- By Paul Eddison

BLACKBURN Rovers manager Owen Coyle admits there are numerous questions still to be answered surrounding Marvin Emnes’ future at Ewood Park.

The 28-year-old Dutchman is currently on loan from Premier League outfit Swansea City, a deal set to run out on January 15, though confirmation is yet to be forthcoming.

Despite not scoring since September, Coyle is keen to keep hold of the striker, though the arrival of Paul Clement as Swans manager could change all that, with Rovers currently paying only a small part of Emnes’ salary.

“He is a player that I have said I would like to keep but there is dialogue that needs to take place with that one,” said Coyle.

“It’s a little trickier, because, and I have to thank Swansea for this, they did us a real favour in terms of the salary we have to pay.

“It was minimal in comparison to what he earns, but with him going in to the last six months of his contract, we have to understand that may change.

“The dialogue is ongoing, but we have to await an answer from Swansea.

“We might be without him, so there’s a number of question marks on players being available in upcoming games.” COVENTRY City manager Russell Slade has added some experience to his squad by snapping up fullback Kevin Foley until the end of the season, with the option to extend.

The 32-year-old played under Slade at Charlton earlier this season and links up with him again after being released by the Addicks.

Slade said: “Kevin is a top professional, and will be a calming and mature influence on the rest of the squad.”
