JOHNSON FINDS HIS MR WRIGHT
BRISTOL City manager Lee Johnson believes Bailey Wright’s “warrior spirit” is exactly what the Robins need for the latter stages of the season.
The Australian centreback signed from Championship rivals Preston this week, after making 200 appearances for the Lilywhites, with Johnson backing his steel and determination to be a big hit at Ashton Gate.
“Bailey has a warrior spirit and represents a good signing for us,” he said. “He’s 24 and has great Championship experience; he’s a tough, Australian international – he’s an oldfashioned stopper.
“Jamie McAllister (Under-23 coach) was with him at Preston and only had good things to say about him.”
