HATTERS SWOOP TO SIGN LAWSON
LUTON are hoping the signing of attacking midfielder Lawson D’Ath from Northampton can help them recover from the loss of broken leg victim Cameron McGeehan.
The highly-rated McGeehan suffered his injury in the 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth last Monday and could miss the rest of the season.
The Hatters wasted no time in signing D’Ath on an 18-month contract to the end of June 2018, with the club having the option to extend the 24-year-old’s stay for a further year.
Manager Nathan Jones said: “We’ve got good options here already, but when the chance came to sign Lawson, it was an opportunity we couldn’t really turn down. He’ll add real quality and energy to our squad.”
