FIVE-STAR SHOWING FROM PEP’S PLAYERS
WEST HAM 0 MAN CITY 5
PEP GUARDIOLA marked his first FA Cup clash in style, as his Manchester City side thumped West Ham at the London Stadium.
To be honest the result was never in doubt as the visitors led 3-0 at half-time.
Yaya Toure opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Pablo Zabaleta had been felled in the box by Angelo Ogbonna, before Havard Nordtveit bundled Bacary Sagna’s cross into his own net and David Silva tapped home from close range.
Five minutes after the restart Sergio Aguero diverted Toure’s shot into the back of the West Ham net.
And with six minutes remaining defender John Stones headed in his first Manchester City goal to complete the scoring, meaning City were the first team to confirm their place in the fourth round.
