MARCO Silva won the battle of the new managers as his Hull City side scored two late goals to overcome Paul Clement’s Swansea.

Silva replaced the sacked Mike Phelan this week, and led his side to their first win in eight in all competitions as Abel Hernandez and Josh Tymon netted.

Swansea went closest to breaking the deadlock through Ki Seung-yeung and Nathan Dyer but Hernandez, making his first appearance in two months, slotted home from Shaun Maloney’s low cross in the 78th minute.

And Tymon killed off Swansea by doubling Hull’s lead in added time with his first senior goal to send the Tigers through.
