CHELSEA TRIO ARE HAPPY T0 PUT ON RED!

- By Andrew Lawton

A TRIO of Blues will be donning the red of Swindon Town for the remainder of the season as they look to help the Robins move away from the League One relegation zone.

The signings of Chelsea youngsters Charlie Colkett, 20, Fankaty Dabo, 21, and Islam Feruz, 21, were all announced this week.

Midfielder Colkett scored three times during a loan spell at Town’s rivals, Bristol Rovers, earlier this season and is confident of having an impact at the County Ground.

“I’m sure our luck will change and we’re here to make a difference,” he said.

“I like to always get on the ball, make things happen, try and please the crowd. I’ve definitely got some goals in me so hopefully I can make that happen.

“The biggest difference between League One and development football is the realness of the fans, the realness of the matches and that feeling of winning three points and getting some goals under your belt. You can’t compare it.”

Colkett is joined by England Under-20 right-back Dabo, who has yet to make his professional debut and admitted he has plenty to learn.

“It is my first loan, so I’m hoping to continue my development, get some experience and help to push the team up the table,” he added.

“I always talk to Charlie (Colkett) and Islam (Feruz) because they’ve got the experience of being out on loan and they’ve done things I haven’t done.

“I’m speaking to them to gain knowledge.”

Striker Feruz has had loan spells with Blackpool and Hibernian in the past and is targeting plenty of goals at his new club.

“Goals is the main aim for me, but the most important thing is that the team get better results and three points,” he insisted.
