POMPEY PROMOTION SUFFERS HIT

-

AFTER an impressive run of ten games unbeaten, Exeter have played their way into the play-off picture.

They have racked up eight victories and two draws and must now be viewed as a threat to the clubs around them. It’s now also six away games without defeat for the Grecians who have turned their season on its head after being in the bottom two places during the first half of the campaign.

The result for Pompey was one they couldn’t afford. They have slipped further away from the automatic promotion places and now trail third-placed Carlisle by four points.

However, with the side they possess, they will feel confident that they can go on a run of victories to propel themselves back up the table.
