FORMER DISNEY MAN EYES POMPEY
IT LOOKS set to be an exciting end to the season on and off the pitch for Portsmouth.
Yesterday’s 2-1 win against Newport County at Fratton Park strengthened Pompey’s grip on the third and final automatic promotion spot in League Two.
Paul Cook’s men have a six-point gap over fourthplaced Stevenage.
Off the pitch, Portsmouth have announced they are to enter into exclusive discussions with former Walt Disney chief executive Michael Eisner, 75, about a potential takeover of the fan-owned club.
There will now be a 70day negotiation and due diligence period between the parties.
Eisner is expected to explain his future strategy and plans for the club to all shareholders and, if negotiations go well, shareholders will vote on whether to accept a deal.
