DARREN’S SACRIFICE PRAISED

-

DARREN Potter’s selection woes should be over after the MK Dons midfielder waived a clause in his contract that guaranteed a new deal.

Before the weekend, Potter, 32, had made just one start since March 4 due to a contract extension being triggered by a certain number of starts.

Dons boss Robbie Neilson says that has now been resolved.

“Darren will be available for us for the rest of the season,” he explained.

“There was a clause but he decided to waive it as he wants to help the team.

“Once we get the points on the board we’ll discuss things with him.”
