BRUCE: WE HAVE THE NUCLEUS
MANAGER Steve Bruce wants quality over quantity when he carries out his transfer business with Aston Villa during the summer.
Villa are set to miss out on immediate promotion back to the Premier League, but Bruce is happy the core of his squad can challenge next time around.
“I don’t think there are going to be wholesale changes,” explained Bruce. “But a manager’s job is that you always try to improve.
“I’m very pleased we’ve got the nucleus. Now, we need to start adding two or three rather than six or eight.”
