JASON’S SADDLERS OPTION...
SOUTHAMPTON loanee Jason McCarthy is refusing to rule out returning to Walsall on a permanent basis in the summer.
The 21-year-old rightback is out of contract at St Mary’s at the end of the season and, having played every minute of every game for the Saddlers going into this weekend, he insists Walsall would be high on his list of potential destinations should he leave Southampton.
“Of course I could come back,” said McCarthy. “At this point, I don’t want to say I’m doing this or that, because I honestly don’t know myself.
“I have to keep my options open but of course staying (at Walsall) is an option.”
