WHY I’D LOVE A TERRIER TRIUMPH

The Football League Paper - - NEWS -

WHATEVER happens over the next fortnight, Fulham, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday will all get another shot at the Premier League.

Which is why I can’t help but root for Huddersfield in the playoffs. Sporting director Stuart Webber has already been poached by Norwich. David Wagner was publicly courted by Wolfsburg in January and will surely be high on several shopping lists.

Aaron Mooy, the Terriers’ player of the year, was an inspired loan signing but is unlikely to return for another season in the Championship. Others will be cherry-picked.

Perhaps I’m doing chairman Dean Hoyle a disservice, but this feels like death or glory for Huddersfield.

INSPIRED: Aaron Mooy
