SCOTT Loach has bid farewell to Notts County af­ter it was re­vealed his con­tract would not be re­newed.

The goal­keeper made 23 ap­pear­ances at Meadow Lane in two sea­sons but was loaned out to Na­tional League York City for the lat­ter part of this cam­paign.

“I have loved ev­ery minute of my time at the club and it’s been a plea­sure to play for them,” sai d the for­mer Wat­ford and Ip­swich keeper.

“The fans have been dif­fer­ent class with me and I wish the gaffer (Kevin Nolan) and the lads all the best for next sea­son.”

County lost three of their fi­nal four matches of the sea­son, but Loach is con­fi­dent the Mag­pies will go into next sea­son in pos­i­tive mood as they look to es­cape League Two.

He said: “I ex­pect them to re­ally kick on. It’s a great club.

“But it’s go­ing to be a new chal­lenge for me some­where else. I am 28 and I do need to be play­ing.”
