Team mates
Best mate at the club? It’s between Tommy Lee and Paul McGinn. I think because they were there last year. We always used to take it in turns driving to the training ground. We’d always share a car and someone else would drive each day. Last to pay for dinner? Paul McGinn. He is definitely the stingiest and he’s always asking when pay day is! I live about an hour and twenty minutes from the ground, so I don’t really go for meals with the rest of the team very often, but when we do go out, Paul McGinn is always last to pay. Worst dressed? Rai Simons has got some funky gear. He wears loads of colourful stuff; tops and trousers, and even shoes, as well. Everything! I remember one time he was wearing a green top and some weird grey and black pants, with some colourful trainers as well. Dressing room DJ? Jordan Sinnott. He’s always in the changing room with his phone on, trying to please everybody with his music. He puts on loads of different kinds of music. He’ll go for R&B for one song and then he’ll do some of the classics straight after. He’s actually a really good DJ and he knows it. He’s a really good singer as well. He’s always singing along to the music. Late for training? No one is really ever that late for training but Gozie Ugwu was late once, so I guess I’ll have to say him. He was 20 minutes late once. He said that his alarm hadn’t gone off but I’m pretty sure most people aren’t convinced. He only lives 20 minutes from the ground too, so he has no excuses. Teacher’s pet? Ian Evatt’s always speaking to the boss because he’s the captain, and they’re roughly the same age as well. They don’t go in the office and have secret chats or anything but they are always speaking to each other on the training ground, and none of us ever know what it’s about. First on the dance floor? Jerome BinnonWilliams. Whatever music is playing, he’s always doing some kind of stupid dance or doing something else stupid. He loves a dance and he’s always doing it. Most likely to disgrace themselves at the Christmas party? That would probably be me! I’m the kind of guy who can get roped into absolutely anything. If someone asks me to do something crazy, I’ll normally say: “Go on then” and then get into trouble for it later, but it’s the kind of things that I can’t tell you about... Worst tattoo? Jak McCourt. I was going to say me but I’ve got my family tattooed on me, so I can’t say that. Jack McCourt has a pair of lips tattooed on his arse, on one of the cheeks. No one ever tries to kiss them for good luck, though. Who will be the best manager? Probably Ian Evatt just because of the career he’s had. He’s played everywhere and at every level, and he’s been doing it for ages, so he must have picked up a lot of things over the years. He’d definitely be out there in a three-piece suit as well – he loves dressing up like that.
