BRYSON ARRIVAL HAS GOT NEIL SO EXCITED
NEIL Warnock couldn’t hide his delight after boosting his Cardiff squad with the deadline day loan signings of Craig Bryson and Liam Feeney.
The acquisition of Bryson has whetted the appetite of the Bluebirds boss.
With well over 300 appearances in Scottish and English football, Bryson has two caps for Scotland and arrives from Derby County on a seasonlong loan.
“Of all the players I wanted to sign, Craig Bryson has been at the top of my list for a very long time,” said Warnock of the 30-year-old.
“I never thought we’d be able to do the deal to get him over the line, so I must thank Tan Sri Vincent, Mehmet (Dalman) and Ken (Choo) for making it possible for us.”
Winger Feeney, 31, leaves Blackburn to join the Championship pacesetters on loan until January.
“Liam is a player that I’ve always liked and I think he’ll enjoy playing for me,” said Warnock.
“I think we needed a player of his quality to come in, especially with the injury we have to Kads (Kadeem Harris) at the moment.”
Meanwhile, Declan John, Stuart O’Keefe and Matty Kennedy have departed for loans spells elsewhere.
John, 22, can play in midfield or defence. He is yet to make an appearance for the Cardiff first team and will swap the Championship for the Scottish Premiership with Rangers this season.
O’Keefe will embark on his second consecutive loan stint after playing at MK Dons last season. The 26-year-old midfielder will be plying his trade at Portsmouth for the remainder of this campaign.
Joining O’Keefe at Fratton Park on loan is Kennedy. The 22-year-old Scottish midfielder has also been on loan to Port Vale and Plymouth since arriving at Cardiff in 2015.
