Just Luke what our front two can do...

- By Shane MacDermott

DAVID Flitcroft hailed strikers Luke Norris and Keshi Anderson as “unplayable” after Swindon picked up their first home win of the season.

Norris bagged a brace to take his tally to six goals in nine appearances whilst Anderson scored and hit the post against Stevenage.

Dan Newton got on the scoresheet before Boro provided a late scare as Joe Martin made up for his handball a minute from time.

Flitcroft purred: “I think Luke Norris and Keshi were unplayable for the large part.

“The first 25 minutes, we were explosive and finished our chances.

“Luke has been exceptional. He’s got six goals now and five or six assists.

“He’s having a fantastic season and I’m delighted for him because he was outstanding.”

And Flitcroft was thrilled to get the monkey off his back with a home triumph.

He added: “It feels good. For me personally, I’ve been wanting to give this home support something to really get behind.

“We got beat excessively the two home game previous and no manager can understand what those supporters are going through.”

In-form frontman Norris took just nine minutes to bag his first of the game as he converted Chris Hussey’s pinpoint corner.

And four minutes later, Norris turned provider as Crystal Palace loanee Anderson doubled the advantage by coolly slotting past Joe Fryer.

Anderson almost had two moments after the restart as he left the post rattling and the hosts were left to rue that miss as they conceded a scrappy goal.

It was eventually awarded to Newton after Matt Godden’s effort cannoned off the forward in the 51st minute.

Godden himself almost grabbed an equaliser as he headed wide mere moments later.

Just after the hour, Martin handled inside the Boro box, with Norris sending Fryer the wrong way from 12 yards.

At the death, Martin beautifully curled a free-kick home to give the Robins a stoppagetime scare.

Stevenage gaffer Darren Sarll slammed his side’s start and fumed: “Most of the damage was done in the first 15 minutes.

“The way we started was nowhere near good enough.

“It was a very poor and disappointing day all round.

“There’s no hiding place. This team concedes too many set-plays.”
