CLUBS CASH IN AS CUP TIES GET TV CALL

- By John Lyons

MK Dons, Mansfield and Fleetwood face banana skin FA Cup first-round ties – but at least they will be lucrative.

The EFL trio have been chosen for live television coverage for their ties against Non-League opposition, and that means they will each pick up a £67,500 broadcast fee.

MK Dons visit Evo-Stik North side Hyde United, from the eighth tier of English football.

The match will be live on BBC Two on Friday, November 3 (7.55pm).

Mansfield go to Barnsley-based Shaw Lane Association, of the EvoStik Premier, the following day.

The match kicks off at 12.30pm and is live on BT Sport 1.

Fleetwood travel to National League North club Chorley, managed by Matt Jansen, on Monday, November 6 (7.45pm), again on BT Sport 1.

As well as the television money, there is £18,000 on offer to round one winners from the FA’s prize fund.
