WHITES NEED TEEN SESSEGNON AT HIS BEST

-

RYAN Sessegnon looks as if he might have played a game too far and how is that going to impact on Fulham’s stylish bid to get into the Premier League?

Sessegnon, player of the season in the Championship and an outside bet to be in the England squad for the World Cup, didn’t even last the entire first leg of the play-offs.

He was subbed with 14 minutes left and had contributed only two wayward shots to that point.

Sessegnon is 18 on Friday and whether he celebrates that birthday with a place booked in the play-off final eight days later is a debate that will be settled in the second leg tomorrow night, his 50th game of the season.

Fulham, for all the clever and entertaining football, still need Sessegnon.

They need him to add to his 15 goals this season, they need his creativity, they need the enthusiasm of his youth.

But he has only scored once since early March.

Teenagers are often a worry.
