DACK RELISHES ROVERS’ GLAMOUR MATCHES

- By Jon Miller

BRADLEY Dack knows Blackburn face some tough challenges over the coming weeks, but he could not be happier.

Having played Aston Villa at Ewood Park yesterday, Rovers now face trips to Derby and Stoke in the Championship, and Premier League Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup, before Nottingham Forest arrive in Lancashire.

Attacking midfielder Dack, 24, is looking forward to pitting his wits against some of the Championship’s biggest names, and said: “It’s important to get back on track, learn from the (4-1) defeat at Bristol City and come back stronger.

“We know we have a good side here. Everyone works hard and gives 100 per cent in training and in games. These are the games we look forward to – the Villas, the Stokes, the Derbys.

“These are the games that we worked so hard to earn last season with promotion. It’s a tough and challenging month ahead, but we believe in ourselves and each other and we’ll look back and see how we did at the end of the month.”

Meanwhile, boss Tony Mowbray has revealed Dominic Samuel and Ben Gladwin are likely to miss the rest of the season with knee injuries.

The pair have undergone surgery, and Mowbray explained: “It’s tough for Ben and Dominic. Neither of them are going to play this season I would suggest. It’s a tough road, a long road, but after the operations they know their recovery starts then.

“They will be coming in, working in the gym, being in and around the lads, which is important. They will have some long days trying to get fit.

“It’s a tough life being injured and away from the team. I wish them well. We’ll support them and hopefully there will be some positivity.”
