JORDAN KEEN TO REPAY TISDALE FAITH...
JORDAN Moore-Taylor insists he isn’t fussed about where he is deployed by manager Paul Tisdale, providing he continues to help promotion-favourites MK Dons continue their encouraging start to the campaign.
The 24-year-old utility player has primarily functioned as a centre-back throughout his career and reunited with his former Exeter boss when he followed Tisdale in swapping the Grecians for a move to Stadium MK in the summer.
And he has made quite an impression for a Dons side who, heading into the weekend’s crunch clash with table-toppers Lincoln, had yet to taste defeat in League Two – accruing 13 points from a possible 21.
The task at hand now is to ensure they get back on an even keel after two relegations in three seasons saw them drop from the Championship to the fourth tier.
“I’ve played under Tis for a long time and I know he likes players that can play a few different positions,” Moore-Taylor said.
“I’ve played the majority of my games at centre-half and a few at leftback and here I’ve played in central midfield.
“You just want to be in the starting line-up, wherever that is – you’re happy to play there.”
The former Exeter academy graduate was handed his debut by Tisdale in 2012 and went on to play 183 games in all competitions while at St James Park.
It is little wonder then that Moore-Taylor felt so obliged to join forces with his mentor in Buckinghamshire, even if that has meant adapting to an unfamiliar midfield role.
The Exeter-born player added: “I respect what Tis has done for me and how he’s shaped me into the player I am today. He’s played a massive part in my development as a footballer by giving me the games to help me grow. I want to repay him.”
