- By Tom Blackett

EFL title sponsor Sky Bet are auctioning hundreds of signed, match-worn Poppy shirts for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

This year marks the centenary of the end of World War One, with the Premier League, FA, EFL and PFA joining forces under the banner of ‘Football Remembers’.

Shirts from Sky Bet Championship fixtures across October and November, are being auctioned on the CharityStars website.

There are also 48 signed shirts from Sky Bet League One and Two teams each with a poppy badge attached that will be auctioned.

The bookmaker has also donated over 400 tickets for EFL games to the Legion for use by current servicemen and women from across the UK.

On November 11, 1918, the Armistice was signed, signalling the end of World War One. One century on, England’s four football bodies will be part of the nationwide commemorations, with support from Premier League clubs, EFL clubs and the English national teams paying tribute in a variety of ways.

The Royal British Legion’s Ben France said: “We’re hugely grateful for the continuing support of our partners Sky Bet and the clubs of the English Football League. Through the incredible generosity of the fans, we will ensure today’s Armed Forces and their families receive the support they need, and their unique contribution is never forgotten.”
