team mates

- Rob Hunt

Best mate at the club? I get on really well with Cameron Dummigan, Jose Baxter and Dan Gardner. We all hang around together and we always sit next to each other. Cameron was there the first time I went to Oldham. I also room with George Edmundson – but he’s a bit of a snorer! Last to buy dinner? We don’t really go out together too much. Everyone lives in different directions out of Manchester and people have got kids, so it’s quite difficult to organise. George Edmundson is the tightest in the dressing room, though! Worst dressed? That’s a tough one because there’s quite a few. I’d say Giles Coke, though. Some days, you look at the clothes he’s wearing, and you wonder ‘why are you wearing that?’. It’s the trainers that he wears – they’re like DIY trainers when you are doing the painting. Dressing room DJ? George Edmundson or myself are the DJs in the dressing room. We play a bit of everything, really, and make sure that it’s the music that all the boys like. You can always tell when they like it because they’ve not got their headphones in. Late for training? There’s a few, to be fair. Giles Coke is always pushing it. George Edmundson can be the same as well but we’ve got a good fine system in place, so people aren’t late as much now. It all goes towards the kitty to pay for a bill at some point. Teacher’s pet? I’d say Jordan Lyden – everyone says that it has to be him. First on the dancefloor? I’m not too sure as we’ve not had too many nights out as a group yet. I can’t tell who the good dancers in the team would be because I’ve not really seen too many of them dancing. Most likely to disgrace themselves at the Christmas party? I don’t actually know – possibly, it’s one of the young boys. Jose Baxter is quite a joker and Giles Coke can be too. The Fifa king? The last time we had a tournament, Tom Hamer was definitely the best player. He’s young, so he probably gets a lot of time to spend playing on it. The worst tattoo? I don’t know actually – I’ve never noticed any bad ones in the squad. It must mean nobody has anything too bad in particular, which is a good thing! Going to make the best manager? That definitely has to be Peter Clarke. He’s our captain and club captain. He’s been there and done it all, and he’s played over 700 league games. He’s the one to look up to and what he says 90 per cent of the time is right because you know that he’s been there and done it.
