NARSINGH THRILLED TO BE IN SWANS’ PICTURE

- By Pete Loosley

LUCIANO Narsingh “felt like a small kid” when making his return to action in Swansea’s midweek defeat at Leeds.

The 28-year-old Dutch winger had not made a senior appearance for the Swans since May after initially failing to impress manager Graham Potter. There was also speculation about a move away from the club.

But he came off the bench in the second half at Elland Road and now hopes to get more minutes under his belt.

A delighted Narsingh said: “I am very happy, I have not played for a long time, it has been hard, but I am happy to play for Swansea.

“I felt like a small kid being back out there because everyone wants to play football.

“I live for my football and to play again means a lot and is a great feeling.

“It has been hard, I played a lot in the Premier League. Things changed but I was always positive and wanted to help the team and the gaffer gave me the minutes on the pitch and I am happy. I did my best.

“My team-mates helped me too, to come into training with a smile every day.

“I felt like I was part of the team and I hope I can get more minutes in the weeks ahead.”

Young forward Jordan Garrick, 20, signed a new deal with the Swans during the week, keeping him at the Liberty Stadium until the summer of 2021.

His deal was set to expire this summer.
