JACK’S RETURN WILL GIVE US A LIFT – HAUSE

- By Dan Barnes

KORTNEY Hause reckons that Aston Villa are welcoming back a ‘true game-changer’ in Jack Grealish.

Midfield maestro Grealish, 23, was due to return to action as Dean Smith’s side took on Derby yesterday, following nearly three months out with a shin injury.

Wolves loanee Hause, 23, was part of part of Gareth Southgate’s Toulon tournament-winning side in 2016 alongside Grealish and couldn’t be happier to see his old England youth teammate back to aid the Villa cause.

“It’s superb news to get him back. He’s such a good player; honestly, a real special talent,” said Hause, who has primarily operated at left-back since arriving at Villa Park in January.

“I played for England with him, too, before I arrived here at Aston Villa. He’s my good friend. I have known him for quite a few years.

“Everyone knows what he can do. He’s a true game-changer.

“He’s a good guy and he’s very funny too.

“He’s the glue that sticks the dressing room together. He’s a good person.”

Meanwhile, Yannick Bolasie has revealed why his loan spell with Villa earlier this season failed.

The 29-year-old DR Congo winger joined Villa on loan from Everton last August but the move, intended to be for the whole of the season, was cut short in January.

Bolasie, who began the season recovering from a long-term knee injury is now on-loan with Belgian giants Anderlecht.

He told Belgian newspaper La Meuse: “I just wasn’t fit. I didn’t have a pre-season with Everton because I was following a special programme.

“In the first 10-12 games, I was playing 25 minutes here and there. It was the best way of getting back in shape, because I wasn’t ready for more.”
