Best mate at the club? Lucas Akins was probably one of the first to speak to me properly and he’s a lovely lad, but all the guys here seem like good lads and everyone gets on well – I haven’t seen any bust-ups yet.
Last to buy dinner?
We have been out for dinner, but I haven’t been here long, so I haven’t sussed that out yet. No one will be as tight as David Buchanan was at Northampton Town, that’s for sure – he is the tightest man in the world without a doubt.
Worst dressed?
I can’t say that anyone has really turned up wearing any really bad gear yet – I have seen John (Brayford) wear a couple of dodgy pairs of shoes but that is about it.
The prematch dressing room DJ?
Stephen Quinn has been on it a couple of times and Liam Boyce also steps up – their tunes are normally half-decent. I have submitted one of my own songs, Morning Glory by Oasis, but I still haven’t heard it played once.
Late for training?
I was late for training myself once, stuck on the M1 behind an accident on the motorway, but the club are alright with it as long as you have a decent excuse – you can’t do much about it sometimes.
Teacher’s pet?
Jake Buxton consults with the gaffer quite a bit but he is the skipper, so you’d expect that – I don’t think he’s got any pets really. I really like him (Burton manager, Nigel Clough), and I get on well with him, so he has been good to play under so far.
First on the dancefloor?
I haven’t seen any dance moves as of yet, but I have heard a lot of singing – Lucas (Akins) is always singing a different song. He makes me laugh because it is a different genre every day from Backstreet Boys to, I don’t even know what – his voice is half decent to be fair.
Most likely to disgrace themselves at the Christmas party?
I don’t know yet, but I am looking forward to it this year and hopefully there is a bit of fancy dress involved because that is always fun. I remember a mad night when I was at Colchester – we went to Dublin and there was a food fight, a bomb-scare and then a brawl at the bar so hopefully it doesn’t come close to that!
Fifa King?
I have heard Colin (Daniel) and Liam (Boyce) talking about it but I don’t get involved. I’m usually reading books or getting stuck into a series – FIFA is a young lads’ game, as they say.
The worst tattoo?
I have seen John (Brayford) has got some dodgy ones on his legs and back. I haven’t got any myself – part of a rare breed.
Going to make the best manager?
Jake (Buxton) is doing his badges and I can imagine him being quite a good coach or a manager because he’s got that head on him. I did my B licence in the summer and I’m looking at doing the A in the future because I’d probably like to give that a go in the future or at least have it there as an option.
