Coming towards the twilight of his career, Graham was offered a twoyear contract by A-League side West Sydney Wanderers in September but says he never genuinely considered a move to Australia.

Instead, he is eager to help Blackburn fulfil their potential this season in whatever role boss Tony Mowbray asks him to play.

“It’s been a bit up and down, but I know where I’m at, I know what I can bring to this football team and this football club,” added Graham.

“I need to keep working hard, training well and, if I’m not selected, I know that coming on I can have an impact. If I’m starting games I know I can help the team throughout.” DANNY Graham admits he was frustrated at being reduced to a bench role earlier this season but is now ready to make an impact from the start.

The striker was Blackburn’s main man last term, scoring 15 league goals, but found himself benched in favour of new signing Sam Gallagher for the early months of this campaign.

The 34-year-old finally made back-to-back Championsh­ip starts for the first time this season after playing against Stoke last weekend and believes that opportunit­y was long overdue.

“I struggled at the start, I’ll hold my hands up,” said Graham. “I always said that after last year I felt it should have been my shirt to lose.

“That wasn’t the case, I did struggle with that at the start, but I’m getting on with it and working hard every day in training.
