The Football League Paper

team mates

- Lee Peltier Cardiff City Defender

Best mate?

I’ve got a few to be fair: Sean Morrison, Joe Ralls, Sol Bamba, Mendez (Nathaniel Mendez-Laing); I’ve got quite a few good mates that I’ve known a really long time in the team.

I’ve known Sol and Mozza (Sean Morrison) for a long time through being at the club for years.

Last to buy dinner?

I would probably say Joe Bennett, I just think he’s a tight guy. He knows it, and

I’ve had to tell him a couple of times to get me a coffee or something like that.

In fact, I’m lying; it’s Jazz Richards. He gets himself a coffee every single morning and doesn’t offer the lads one; he just looks after himself all the time, so I apologise to Joe Bennett! I always ask him where mine is, and he’ll say, ‘I didn’t know you wanted one’ and then he does the same thing the next day.

Worst dressed?

Callum Paterson probably. I’ve seen him wear some rascal shirts on a night out! He goes out as a darts player – I think he actually likes it and does it on purpose. The stuff he wears is horrendous.

Dressing room DJ?

Marlon Pack. He’s got some good tunes at the minute. He’s relatively new to the team, but he must have been confident because he put his phone straight on. He’s keeping the majority happy, and I like the music, so it’s all good.

Always late for training?

Josh Murphy. He’s constantly late. I don’t know what it is; he says he sets his alarm, but he just loves being late. He’s always paying fines and has more than put his fair share in for the Christmas party. He’s only got a 10-15 minute journey, so he has no excuses.

Teacher’s pet?

It’s probably Sol Bamba – I think that’s known to everyone.

First on the dancefloor?

Sean Morrison – he’s got some nice moves. He loves getting out there and having a good dance.

He doesn’t show his moves off in the dressing room too much, mainly on a night out where he’ll throw out his signature moves. He’s

very good.

Most likely to disgrace themselves at the Christmas party? Sean Morrison

It’s a hard one, because the past ones we’ve had have been really good – no problems at all. It’s a well-behaved bunch; I can’t really think of anyone who has caused any bother.

Best at FIFA?

I reckon it’s Omar Bogle. I don’t play it but just from hearing things round the changing rooms, I think it’s him.

On the coach, we just have a few games of Uno on my table, so that’s it really, with some music and chilling out.

Worst tattoo?

Jazz Richards again.

He’s got a chief on his thigh. Well, it’s meant to look like a chief. I’ve never asked why – he’s just got a random guy on his thigh... He gets loads of stick but he’s been around for a few years so has heard it all.

The best future manager?

I’d say Sol (Bamba) at the minute, because he’s probably the closest one to having a pop at it.

Obviously he’s been around, has had a very good career. I know he’s done his badges and stuff like that, so I’d probably go for him.
