would be an amazing experience and helps raise your profile,” added Mandron.
“Just getting a chance to compete against great teams would be good.
“We have worked so hard to get to where we are now. We’re in a place where we have a really strong chance to get fifth.
“Throughout the season, we’ve put in great performances and got good results. We’re going to try and keep that up.”
Meanwhile, Robinson insists his players deserved more than compliments after Sunday’s defeat.
The Northern Irishman admitted he has grown fed up of painful losses at the hands of Celtic and Rangers as he claimed his team created enough chances to beat the Ibrox men, never mind snatch a draw.
Visiting boss Philippe Clement was complimentary of the display from the hosts in Paisley, as too has Brendan Rodgers been previously this season, but Robinson is desperate for St Mirren to take points rather than plaudits in their quest for European football.
“Ultimately, I’ve had a lot of ‘well-dones’ this season from top-class managers,” said Robinson.
“Philippe was very complimentary about how good we are, the style of play we have, and Brendan was the same a couple of weeks ago but, ultimately, we’ve come out with no points from both games.
“We created enough chances to win the game, never mind draw it. Their keeper made some terrific saves.”
Robinson also admitted that both goals conceded by his team on Sunday were “very much avoidable.”
“The goals were frustrating ones to lose,” he said.
“We have to be better than that and we demand better than that.”
