A REDCAR man is hoping to smash a gruelling Guinness World Record 234mile endurance event.

Successful entrepreneur Steven Green will attempt to swim seven miles, bike ride 181 miles and run 46 miles – with no unofficial breaks, stops or rest.

The exhausting challenge, in and around Redcar, is set to take 30 hours and will be adjudicated by a Guinness official.

Steven, a property and mindset coach who has appeared with his family on Channel 5’s Rich House, Poor House, won acclaim after completing a double Ironman in 2020.

He swam, biked and ran his way into the Guinness Book of World Records after completing two of the tough triathlons with no sleep, raising £27,000 for worthy causes.

And grit and determination runs in the family.

His partner Gemma Sharples, a business coach who runs several companies, also ran 100 miles non-stop recently, raising thousands for Zoe’s Place.

Steven, who runs property, mindset and coaching firms, also starred in the film The Homeless Millionaire.

He said: “I truly believe that we are all capable of so much more than we think we are and that our minds possess so much more power than we can ever imagine.

“I know my body will want to give up on me but my strong mindset and beliefs will get me across the finish line, whilst hoping to raise funds for very worth causes.”

Proceeds from his latest challenge will go towards local mental health charity and Emilia Wade ‘Mimoo’ Yorkshire Triplets.

His record attempt will start with a seven-mile swim around 6am on Friday at Scaling Dam.

It will be followed by a 181-mile bike ride then a 46-mile run around the town, finishing on Saturday.

Steven is inviting the public to come and show support en-route.

He also hopes to be joined during his run by members from the military, armed forces, emergency services and NHS, along with local school children and fellow community members from his Property Investment Academy, a global training program he founded in Redcar.

Steven, who also campaigns for and supports mental health matters through his Strength 2 Succeed events, will be holding a free one-dayer on Monday, August 15, following the challenge.

It will take place at his conference centre – Seaview Business Centre in Redcar – from 9am-5pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
