Less than a week left to nominate your charity champions

THERE’S less than a week to go until nominations close for the 2022 North East Charity Awards.

Entries will close next Wednesday at 5pm for the annual awards, which are run by TeessideLive and ChronicleLive to highlight and reward the best charities in the region, as well as those that work for them or support them.

The awards, which are headline sponsored by Brewin Dolphin and in association with VONNE and the Sir James Knott Trust, celebrate our local charities and the voluntary sector and provide a fantastic opportunity to thank the organisations that do so much to help people in our region.

Jeffrey Ball, charity investment advisor at Brewin Dolphin and chair of the Judging Panel, said: “The charities that have been involved in previous years have found it both a great night out but hugely rewarding to have their work recognised by their peers.

“To be shortlisted is a true badge of honour that helps increase engagement with funders, donors and beneficiaries so we would definitely encourage any charities or companies to consider the categories available and put themselves forward. You never know what will happen.”

There will be 11 awards presented at the special awards dinner, taking place at The Fed in Gateshead on October 19.

The award categories include the Outstanding Charity Support by Large Companies, which was won by The Inn Collection Group last year and which celebrates North East companies who go above and beyond to help raise funds and support charities or community groups in our region.
