This small daysack really is waterproof. It’s made from PU-coated fabric and all the seams are taped. It also has a large internal waterproof dry-bag that can be used to separate wet and dry items. There’s a clear roll-top waterproof pouch attached to the dry-bag for small items. The dry-bag is yellow so it’s easy to see the contents. It can be zipped out if not needed. There are also two large mesh side pockets that can be used for water bottles and also for wet waterproofs. On the front there’s a lash point for items like a light or a helmet but that’s it. There are no side straps or loops, so attaching items like trekking poles securely is difficult. Access is via a roll top with a single clip buckle.
This is fast and easy to use.
The shoulder straps are made from breathable mesh and do reduce sweat a little. The back however is smooth nylon. I get a sweaty back quite quickly. Overall though the pack is comfortable with light loads and fine for three-season use. If you don’t want to bother with rain covers, pack liners or separate dry-bags it’s a good choice.
