Q.Tell us about your business

A. Capital Managers LLP was formed in 2005 and is based in the Charing Cross area of Glasgow.

The firm consists of five advising partners, an adviser, as well as our dedicated support staff.

The partners collectively have in excess of one hundred years’ experience in financial services, with a similar level of experience from our back office support.

Q. Who are your main clients and customers?

A. As a business we provide advice to a range of private individuals, small and medium sized companies and trustees. Our focus has always been on the ongoing client relationship and ensuring that we continually report and review with our existing client base.

We are proud to have enjoyed long standing relationships with our clients over the years, and we know that loyalty is never taken for granted.

All our clients are unique; their needs and objectives are different and changing, however our approach remains the same – providing tailor-made solutions and personal guidance through the complexities of their financial planning journey.

Q. How important is good financial planning?

A.We believe the key to prudent financial planning is not simply to adopt a financial plan at outset and leave it there, but to regularly review that plan and make alterations to cope with ever-changing circumstances as well as key life events such as marriage, childbirth and retirement.

The strength of Capital Managers LLP comes from the experience and expertise held by our partners, advisers and dedicated support staff. We believe in a holistic approach to financial planning to assist our clients in meeting their life goals.

Q. What are the main services you offer?

A.We offer a range of services including pension and investments, protection, retirement planning and mortgages. Capital Managers LLP works alongside other professional advisers such as accountants or solicitors to ensure that we are working in tandem to meet our clients’ objectives and they are not receiving conflicting advice.

We are directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The partners within the firm have between them a wide range of expertise and we call on that experience across the firm to assist our clients in the ever evolving world of financial services. We pride ourselves on our ability to translate complex matters into a straightforward format for our clients.

Q. How would you say the financial services industry is doing these days?

A.The world of financial services is increasingly complex and we pride ourselves on our ability to navigate through the range of complexities to assist our clients in meeting their financial goals.

Our expertise has helped us cope with all situations, ensuring that any changes are communicated to our clients in an understandable manner.

We continue to invest and test new technology as a means of keeping pace with advancements, improving our research capabilities and ensuring regular reporting to our clients. The pace of change has been considerable in the last few years and we believe that it is important to embrace these changes and seek out any new opportunities created.

Q. How do clients generally find their way to you?

A. Our clients come from all walks of life and new clients are usually introduced by existing client connections or directly from their accountant or solicitor.

There will, of course, be people who feel they have no need for our services, but there are considerably more who would benefit.

We believe speaking to a financial adviser should not be a daunting process, so we offer an initial meeting and report without cost or obligation.
