Man jailed for filming children changing

-

A MAN has been jailed for 18 months after he secretly filmed women and children undressing at a popular leisure centre.

Iain Inkster, 28, used a camera to covertly record children and adults in the changing rooms of the Xcite Leisure Centre in Livingston, West Lothian.

Inkster, of Mid Calder, also placed a tiny camera inside a clock to film a woman in a shower and toilet at his home. He was found with child porn images when police raided his home in January.

The video files of children and adults dressing and undressing at the leisure centre and the covert recording of the woman were only uncovered as officers sifted through scores of computer discs found in his bedroom.

He was told his offences had been “deliberately and surreptitiously” carried out when he appeared for sentencing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.

Sheriff Frank Crowe said: “This is a very serious course of conduct and the number of images recovered were at the higher end, and most of them were at the more serious end of the spectrum.

“These images of children were kept by you for a period of years and then you deliberately and surreptitiously filmed a young lady dressing and undressing, showering and using the toilet.

“You also rigged up a camera at a leisure centre to secretly record people of all ages changing.”

Inkster was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years and will be banned from working with children.

Previously, the court was told police received information that indecent images of children had been downloaded at Inkster’s home and a search of his home was carried out on January 20. NEW images have revealed one of the country’s favourite sound and light shows in all its shimmering glory.

The organisers of the award-winning event commissioned a drone to Faskally Wood, Pitlochry, for views not seen before of The Enchanted Forest.

Drone operator Liam Anderstrem filmed this year’s show 250 feet above Loch Dunmore, in the middle of the lit-up wood.

It features original music, a light display and some of the country’s top creative talent. This year’s event, launched on Wednesday night, runs until October 30. Ian Sim, acting chairman for The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, said: “Our creative teams took the show to a whole new level of performance, so it seemed appropriate we also captured it from a whole new angle.” Pictures: Angus Forbes
