‘Deviant’ sex attacker jailed for 15 years

-

A “DEVIANT sexual predator” who targeted women and young girls in their own homes has been jailed for 15 years.

Taxi driver Jason Bursk, 51, brought fear to the streets of his home town of Radcliffe, Bury, Greater Manchester, as he broke into properties late at night with the intention of committing sexual offences.

Between November 2018 and November 2019, Bursk attacked a woman in her late-70s and a girl under the age of 13, as well as entering two other addresses before fleeing, and attempting to gain entry to three more.

Bursk is classed as a dangerous offender and must serve two-thirds of his sentence in custody before he can be considered for parole, Manchester

Minshull Street Crown Court was told.

Bursk’s elderly victim awoke to find him in her bedroom after he had turned the lights off, the court heard.

Bursk pinned her down and placed his hand over her mouth when she screamed, before he later ran off when she kicked out at him.

The sexual assault had brought on rapid and significant deterioration in her physical and mental health, said prosecutor Andrew Ford, and her family viewed it with “disgust and helplessness”.

Bursk pled guilty to rape, sexual assault, trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence and attempted trespass.
