Isma Goncalves announced himself to Scottish football by obliterating Celtic’s treble hopes – and he is determined to crash their party again.

The 25-year-old joined St Mirren on loan in January 2013 and was immediately thrown in at the deep end, starring for the Paisley side in their League Cup semi-final win over the Glasgow giants.

He took just seven minutes to find the net in a memorable 3-2 triumph. It proved to be the only domestic trophy Celtic did not win in the 2012/13 campaign.

Celtic have glory in their sights again on Sunday, with Brendan Rodgers’ side knowing a win will guarantee them the title.

“Celtic win the league at Tynecastle? We don’t want that to happen,” said the Portuguese forward.

“We don’t want them to have a party in our house. We are going to do everything to be the first team to beat them.

“Any time you play Celtic, it is normal you will be underdogs, but it is not impossible to beat them. I did it already so I think we can make it happen Hearts. Martin Canning believes just one moment of magic from David Templeton could help Hamilton’s survival prospects.

The 28-year-old former Rangers winger this week signed for Hamilton, who are bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership, until the end of the season.

Templeton has been without a club since being released by Rangers in May 2016, his last appearance coming against St Mirren the previous August, before he suffered a knee injury.

Ahead of the visit of St Johnstone on Saturday, Hamilton manager Canning said: “Obviously he hasn’t played in a while so his fitness is a wee issue but he’s definitely got quality, you’ve seen it in training on Monday and Tuesday.

“It might be the one cross, the one pass, the one shot, the one goal that gets you three points, it might be invaluable.” Interim-manager Lee McCulloch has told Inverness that his Kilmarnock side are fighting every bit as hard as the struggling Highlanders for Ladbrokes Premiership survival.

Richie Foran’s men are above bottom side Hamilton only on a goal difference of one ahead of the visit of Killie on Saturday.

And McCulloch stressed that the Kilmarnock players are well aware of what is at stake.

He said: “We need to get a result. So do Inverness.

“There’s talk of Inverness being near the bottom and fighting for their lives but Kilmarnock are fighting for their lives as well. Make no mistake about that.”
