Only victory at Tynecastle will do for Graham

- DARREN JOHNSTONE

ANDY Graham admits nothing less than a victory will be good enough for Alloa at Hearts this evening.

The Wasps are seven points adrift at the bottom of the Championship with four games left and are in grave danger of slipping out of the second tier for the first time in three years.

To make matters worse for the part-timers, Hearts also know a win could be enough to seal the title, depending on results from tomorrow’s other Championship matches.

Alloa captain Graham said: “Given our situation it’s one of those games where it’s a must win.

“The manager has already spoken to us about going there and giving it a go and trying to win the game, leave everything out there.

“We’re under no illusions how hard that is going to be, Hearts are a very good side.

“Everyone has written us off and I can understand that, the league table does not lie but we need to go there believing we can get the win.

“I suppose in any other situation you would be good there thinking a point would be a good enough result but in our case it’s not at the moment.”

Graham has also dismissed suggestions that Hearts are in turmoil. He added: “If being 11 points clear constitutes a crisis, but listen, Hearts are a very good side.

“I know the Brora Rangers [Scottish Cup] result was obviously not a good one but Queen of the South have been beating a lot of teams lately and they can do that to you.

“Hearts are a very good side but if we can take advantage of any nervousness there we’ll look to do that.”
