Celtic ratings
SCOTT BAIN
Dealt with a couple of first-half attempts but should have probably held them instead of parrying away. Unlucky with their first goal of the evening.
OSAZE URHOGHIDE
Looked solid defensively and a threat on the attack. Fired a number of dangerous balls into the box when he ventured forward.
NIR BITTON (c)
The stand-in captain was utilised at centre back and was reasonably solid throughout. Almost scored from a corner on the hour mark.
STEPHEN WELSH
A fine glancing header for the opening goal and an accomplished defensive display all round. Bounced back from injury well to make his claim for regular spot.
LIAM SCALES
Built on his goal-scoring cameo against Dundee United on Sunday. A disciplined defensive display and also got forward when called upon.
ISMAILA SORO
Booked for a flailing arm and should have fed Kyogo with a better pass in the first period. A decent display in the middle without making a huge impact.
JAMES McCARTHY
Struggled to get his foot on the ball. Looked to pick up an injury just after the hour mark but played on until end. Minutes in the tank will help going forward.
LIEL ABADA
Pinpoint delivery from a corner for the opener. Looked sharp and always willing to take on his man. Endless running meant he went down with cramp late on.
LIAM SHAW
A very physical display from the youngster. Put himself about and looked determined to put his stamp on the game. Will surely have impressed his manager.
ADAM MONTGOMERY
The wide man put in a shift on the left flank and provided plenty energy throughout. His final ball was lacking at times, though.
ALBIAN AJETI
A rare start but his evening didn’t end how he would have envisaged. Forced off just before the half-hour mark with what looked like a hamstring injury.
ticking in middle of the park. Mikey Johnston (for Montgomery, 65) Gave ball away for Betis’s second goal.
Ewan Henderson (for Furuhashi, 72) Took goal well with his first touch.
