Substitutes CRAIG GORDON

Could do nothing to stop Armenia’s opener as the defending in front of him was poor. Held everything that came his way.

JACK HENDRY

Played on the left of the back three. Cross to Adams led to equaliser. Put in vital last-ditch tackle to prevent Armenia re-taking the lead inside 20 minutes.

GRANT HANLEY

Beaten for pace and then easily outmuscled on the wing for Armenia’s goal, which allowed their attacker into dangerous territory. More comfortable after the break.

SCOTT McTOMINAY

Moved back into defence. Should have dropped back to help block cross for opening goal. Midfield instincts evident. Able to pitch in with attacks in second period.

GREG TAYLOR

Struggled in the first half and left too much space between the full-back and centre-half. Nice link-up play with Armstrong. Cross to Patterson was vital for Scotland’s third.

NATHAN PATTERSON

Beaten too easily on occasion during the first half and the odd bit of questionable positioning. Should have done better with chance at back post. Nice assist.

CALLUM McGREGOR

Another steady showing from the Celtic skipper on the international stage. Calm and composed, linked up well with his midfield partner Gilmour.

BILLY GILMOUR

Always looked to get on the ball and tried to get the ball into either Adams or McGinn’s feet. Played a sloppy pass that led to Armenia’s goal, but thankfully it did not matter.

STUART ARMSTRONG

Great first-time finish to level the scores. Second was a thing of beauty. First, second and third touches all top drawer. Provided a nice assist for Adams, too.

JOHN McGINN

Captained the side in Andy Robertson’s absence. On receiving end of a headbutt which saw Armenia reduced to 10 men. Took his goal well.

CHE ADAMS

Finally got his goal in this round of fixtures. Fluffed an overhead kick which broke kindly for Armstrong for 1-1. Excellent composure to tuck away Scotland’s fourth.

Anthony Ralston (for Patterson, 63’). Another cap for the full-back. Lewis Ferguson (for Gilmour, 63’). Tidy in possession.

David Turnbull (for

McGinn, 63’). Had a couple of long-range shots blocked. Jacob Brown (for Adams, 74’). More international minutes for the forward. Allan Campbell (for Hanley, 85’). Brought on to make his Scotland debut.
