THE Phoenix Car Company has in recent years built a trusted reputation as a supplier of used motorhomes and as one also equipped with the special expertise to service and maintain these vehicles. Having achieved this status, the Phoenix motorhome evolution has advanced significantly through its partnership with Swift, the UK’s largest manufacturer of motorhomes.

The Swift Group recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and this British company exports its motorhomes and caravans to Europe and many countries around the world.

Motorhomes, new and used, will be located beside the Phoenix used car complex but it is the association with Swift that carries great authority. Martin McGuire will be in charge of the new franchise and he is confident that this relationship will be a success. “It was clear to myself, our chief executive officer and managing director that Swift would be a good addition to the Phoenix family,” he said.

“We wanted to have a brand on board that represented extremely good value and build quality. We also wished to deal with a UK-based company as the supply of vehicles and parts would be simpler. Following a meeting with Swift it became immediately evident that we would be a good fit for each other and the facility we now have is something that the Glasgow area is in need of.”

Phoenix has already had links with Swift and in recent years with sales and work associated with motorhomes. But in the past few weeks a steady stream of new Swift motorhome models has been delivered that come with various layouts and berths. Perhaps the old cliche that Phoenix has a motorhome to suit everyone is applicable.

Martin said: “Our focus over the past 24 years with all our franchises has been our customers. This will continue with our new venture into the leisure industry and we very much look forward to welcoming you all to the Phoenix family.”

Phoenix has certainly arranged a good marriage with Swift especially now that it can display the latest models and satisfy customers considering buying a motorhome. The rise in popularity of motorhome ownership shows no sign of fading with a huge increase of interest among couples with young families.

The Swift range is extensive from the Rio, Bolero, Kon-Tiki, Bessacarr, Escape and Autocruise. Apart from coming with different configurations for kitchen and berths they all offer an environment that is cosy and secure. They package in their footprint everything you need from the time you get out of bed in the morning until you lay your head on the pillow in the evening.

Interested? It will cost you nothing to have a look. Phoenix has just taken delivery of a Swift S-pod where customers can relax while learning all about life with a motorhome.
