Arrested Development returns for a new series The Break with Michelle Wolf (Netflix, from Sun)
In case you’re wondering “Michelle who?”, she’s the thirtysomething comedian and writer who helped raise the laughs in 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, guested on Frankie Boyle’s American Autopsy and turned The Daily Show with Trevor Noah into one of the brightest topical satires on the box. And no, it’s not another attempt to cash in on the success of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. The good news is this is not another news-centric comedy programme, but a rib-tickling showcase for the woman who stole the show in Washington DC recently during a White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Many critics love her, and there’s a good chance you will too. It includes a heady mix of sketches, comedy and studio guests.
