We’re in the mood for some new fragrance launches and first to grab our attention is Issey Miyake L’Eau Super Majeure D’Issey, a masculine fragrance that takes its inspiration from water with a citrus cocktail of bergamot and grapefruit top heart notes of salty accord and base notes of vibrant woods and cashmeran.

Although it’s aptly the radiance of diamonds that inspired Cartier’s latest launch, with perfumier Mathilde Laurent selecting seven colourful flowers – violet, iris, hyacinth, ylang ylang, daffodil, honeysuckle and tulip – in a rainbow of scents that come together to make a pure white scent, Cartier Carat.

Michael Kor’s limited edition fragrance Sheer, on the other hand, is an exercise in sensuality with smooth, woody and warm white cedarwood balanced out fragile lily and a touch of tarragon.

Tory Burch’s Bel Azur is hellbent on transporting you to the Cote d’Azur in a refreshing fragrance that starts with a solar burst of bergamot that washes over breezy florals of neroli and peony with creamy cedarwood and earthy vetiver offering a lingering sun-kissed warmth to the affair. The lightness of bergamot also makes a notable appearance in Le Labo’s cult fragrance The Noir 29, created by master perfumer Frank Voelkl, with fig and bay leaves combining with the depth of cedar wood, vetiver and musk, then the scent is wrapped up in black tea leaves.
