The father-and-son duo head to the Peak District, Britain’s first ever national park. They start with the most popular and flattest cycle route, the Monsal Trail, but en route Larry encourages George to test his fear of heights by abseiling off one of the route’s Victorian viaducts. Later the pair challenge each other to a race – George on his two wheels versus Larry in an original 1920s Model-A Ford. Then, the Lambs head to Bakewell to indulge their sweet tooth, discoverin­g a local pudding that surpasses even the Bakewell tart.

Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime Video, from Fri)

US Marine-turned-CIA agent Jack Ryan is no stranger to fans of the action thriller genre. Now Ryan is about to make his TV series debut, with John Kraskinski taking the role. The series follows Ryan as he’s forced to quit his desk job to return to the field after uncovering a series of suspicious-looking bank transfers. That might not sound like the most intriguing start for a thriller, but it leads him on an internatio­nal jaunt on the trail of terrorists planning an attack on the US.

Reel Stories: Kylie Minogue (BBC iPlayer, from Fri, 7am)

Kylie Minogue turned 50 in May. Although she came to prominence in the UK through her role as tomboy Charlene Mitchell in Australian soap Neighbours, she’s better known for her music career, but which memorable moments are chosen for her to examine in detail during this one-off special?
