-

NORTH TO SIBERIA

Earth’s magnetic north pole is on the move, according to scientists. Studies show it is travelling about 34 miles a year and is currently leaving the Canadian Arctic and heading for Siberia. Wouldn’t it prefer the West Indies at this time of year?

NOT THAT STAN

Singer Dido, above, has finally revealed that she didn’t name her son Stan after the Eminem song on which she appeared in 2000. Which seems just as well given that Eminem’s song was about an abusive stalker.

THE SITCOM IS DEAD

On ITV anyway. Kevin Lygo, the company’s director of television, has said the future of traditional sitcom on ITV was “quite bleak”. So we’ll just have to content ourselves with repeats of Rising Damp on ITV3.

BLUE PETER MEETS PAUL
