Nissan turns over a new LEAF

-

TWO thirds of Europe’s Nissan LEAF e+ 3.ZERO Limited Edition allocation have been sold after just one month, with first customer deliveries scheduled for this summer. The demand for the latest version of the electric vehicle (EV) has seen pre-orders hit the 3000 mark, just weeks after it was officially unveiled in Las Vegas.

Norway is currently leading the charge with pre-orders reaching almost half of the 3000 units. The LEAF was the top-selling car overall in Norway last year.

The new model has a power output of 160kWh and an expected range of up to 239

miles on a single charge.

Also unveiled to much acclaim in Vegas, the Nissan LEAF 3.ZERO with a 40 kWh battery is available to order now. Based on the award-winning Nissan LEAF 40 kWh, it adds a number of personalisation options, including new colours and a contrasting roof, adding appeal for EV customers looking for a car with visual presence.

Along with a generous standard specification and new NissanConnect infotainment system, the 3.ZERO models feature e-Pedal and ProPILOT. The e-Pedal allows the driver to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator pedal.

This delivers a seamless, smooth drive and maximum control to the driver through enhanced pedal feedback.

ProPILOT works on single-lane highways. A ‘hands-on, eyes-on’ system, it allows the car to stop, restart and stay centred in its lane in higher-speed cruising and lowerspeed congested traffic scenarios.

Full pricing and specs have yet to be confirmed for the UK market.
