There’s still time to buy in the last phase of property being built at CCG Homes’ South Side development
GLASGOW-BASED developer CCG Homes has reached another major milestone in the delivery of its flagship development Riverford Gardens, with the final homes now under construction. Consisting of eight, four-bedroom terraced villas, winner of the Herald Property
Awards Best Family Home (Small) for 2019, the properties form part of the last phase of housing at the 156-home development that also comprises one- and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom semidetached houses located on the banks of the White Cart River in Glasgow’s South Side.
Riverford Gardens has proved hugely popular with 76 homes now sold or reserved, including 15 sales taken during the month of November.
A new range of plots has also been released including a stunning selection of two-bedroom apartments, complete with south-facing views and Juliette balconies from £183,000, and terraced villas set on a prime riverside position overlooking adjacent parkland with prices from £335,000.
Each property has highspecification interiors as standard, including designer kitchens with a choice of cabinets and worktops and bathrooms with ceramic Porcelanosa wall tiles.
Space and light is evident throughout with open-plan living while there is ample storage throughout, including fitted wardrobes. There is private parking for each plot, including a driveway and garage for the terraced villa.
Eileen Dinning, who moved to Riverford Gardens in May 2019, appreciates the standard of finish in her new home. She said: “I love everything about my new home. It is incredibly easy to keep clean and has a highend, luxury feel.
“The fittings have been done to an exceptionally high standard, which has even been noticed by friends who are tradespeople. That speaks volumes.”
In addition to a wide range for customers to choose from, the internal specification of the homes is also enhanced thanks to the vast experience provided from the parent CCG construction group. Complemented by A-rated appliances and solar PV, homeowners are set to benefit from longterm energy savings while reducing Co2 emissions.

National food retailers are adjacent to the development site while a range of bars and restaurants, nurseries and schools are all within a short distance, making this a convenient location for first-time buyers, downsizers and families.
Emma and Gary, first-time buyers who also moved into their new property in May 2019, emphasised the importance of Riverford Garden’s location as well as the provision of private amenity spaces.
Important was the need to have lots of space for when their family dogs come to stay as well as being close to amenities, transport links and green space. Once they found out about the ground-floor apartments and private terraces, they knew Riverford Gardens was the place for them.
Emma said: “Getting our own garden was a deal clincher – our family has a four-year-old Golden Retriever called George and a puppy Ginny who stay with us from time to time so we needed a space for them both to roam around and play.
“The South Side itself is a perfect location for all of us – there are lots of parks and green spaces to walk, as well as shops, restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. We had been looking at properties around here for some time, but there are very few new builds on offer and traditional tenements rarely have private gardens. Everything about our new home is fantastic.”
