Frank Minna (Bruce Willis) runs a small-scale detective agency in 1957 New York City, employing four young men he rescued from the horrors of an orphanage riddled with abuse.

During one investigat­ion into the dealings of businessma­n William Lieberman, Frank is shot dead. Based on Jonathan Lethem’s landmark 1999 novel, Motherless Brooklyn is a slow-burning crime thriller and a passion project for writer, director and star Norton.
