In My Skin (BBC3, available now)

In 2018, BBC aired the pilot episode of this new comedy drama. It went down a storm with critics and viewers alike, and so it’s back for a full run of five episodes. Gabriel Creevy plays Bethan, a seemingly ordinary teenager who, to her classmates, is sassy and takes no nonsense from her peers. But Bethan is living a double life, one she’s keen to keep from her peers – her home life is in disarray. Her bipolar mother has been sectioned and her Hell’s Angel-rag-andbone-man father isn’t much help. The series charts Bethan’s efforts to live as normally as possible while juggling two sides of her life, which also include crushes, tough love from her Nana and a teacher who’s always on her case.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness (Netflix, available now) There are heaps of programmes out there that grab you the minute you hear about them and you look forward to tuning in. And then there are those that initially sound quite dull but, once word of mouth spreads, it becomes clear you HAVE to see them. This documentary falls in the latter category. Joe Exotic is a polygamist country and western singer who also runs his own roadside zoo. His particular passion is for big cats, a love he shares with a variety of largely unsavoury characters, including drug kingpins, conmen and cult leaders. But charismatic Joe is about to fall foul of Carole Baskin, an animal activist who threatens to put him and his friends out of business. As we see here, matters turn very serious indeed when Joe is implicated in a murder-forhire plot...

Models: Street to Catwalk (BBC3, from Sun)

Cameras have been allowed into the confines of one of the UK’s biggest modelling agencies to reveal the stories behind the billboards and photoshoots. All four episodes are being made available at once and begin as those in charge deal with a change in trend. The ‘Manchester look’ is in, so Nemesis, an agency within the city, is looking for local talent to meet demand. But those hoping to launch their careers must be willing to adhere to strict rules – if they bend or break them, they’re out. The rewards, however, can be high. Among those hoping to make it is 17-year-old

Ethan, who has been in and out of young offender institutions for years, and labourer Jordan, who feels out of comfort zone. Perhaps they should take a leaf from Ruby’s books. Brought up on a deprived estate, she earns £10,000 a month.

Brews Brothers (Netflix, from Fri)

Greg and Jeff Schaffer are brothers. They’re also the brains behind this new eight-part comedy; here’s hoping their relationship doesn’t mirror that of the siblings it depicts. Wilhelm and Adam Rodman have been estranged for years. They’re both beer brewers, but their respective approach to their craft couldn’t be more difficult, while their personalities are chalk and cheese. These factors are going to cause problems when they find themselves running a brewery together. Can they find a way to make it work? Alan Aisenberg and Mike Castle play the duo. The Schaffers were behind That 70s Show, Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
