Best of Crufts (C4, 7pm)

New series. Clare Balding and her Tibetan terrier present a celebration of memorable moments from the last 10 years of the dog show, featuring footage of remarkable animals. The first episode features an A-Z of everything Crufts, with the help of some classic and archive footage from shows gone by. Alan Carr and Radzi are among the famous faces making an appearance in an episode that runs from A is for Agility and C is for Clever Dogs to S is for Supervet’ and U for Unsung Heroes. Future episodes focus on Flyball, Best in Show and tips on keeping a dog happy.

Match Of The Day Live (BBC1, 7.15pm)

Bournemouth v Crystal Palace (Kick-off 7.45pm). Gary Lineker presents coverage of the first-ever English Premier League match to be shown on terrestrial TV – and the first topflight game broadcast live on the BBC since 1988 – at Vitality Stadium.

Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow (STV, 7.30pm)

Alan Carr has made a great job of breathing new life into some old game show classics, including Bruce Forsyth’s beloved ratings favourite Play Your Cards Right, The Price Is Right, and Take Your Pick. The latest offering, Strike It Lucky, is no exception. Three pairs of players will be choosing the top, middle or bottom as they navigate their way across several screens, trying not to let their greed stop them banking too many prizes, and avoiding the hotspots. One pair will reach the endgame, where they stand to win assorted prizes and a luxury

I Am Not Your Negro (BBC2, 9pm)

Inspired by James Baldwin’s unfinished manuscript Remember This House, and narrated by Samuel L Jackson, this critically acclaimed documentary examines the lives of his close friends and civil rights leaders Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr and Medgar Evers. It uses their experience as the springboard for an examination of the black experience in America, and uses Baldwin’s words as it explores everything from Hollywood stereotypes to police brutality.

King George VI: The Accidental King (Channel 5, 9pm)

Albert Frederick Arthur George Saxe-CoburgGotha was not born to be king, that role was for his elder brother Edward. If anything, Albert was ill-suited to the role; reticent, lonely and affected by a stammer from childhood. This documentary examines how that shy boy went on to become a national inspiration in Britain’s darkest days during the Second World War.
